Getting second jab early - help!

The NHS website and 119 both say that, with a GP's permission, you can have your second dose of the vaccine before 8 weeks. My GP has written me a letter asking for me to have it early, but the local walk ins all say they're not licensed to give it before 8 weeks. 119 say the GPs will sort it; the GPs have no idea about this and haven't been told anything.

Help! Can anyone advise?

Can your gp give it to you?

Probably relevant information which I should have included in the first post: I'm 20 weeks pregnant an da a teacher, so want the second dose before I go back to school. Everyone agrees that clinically it's a good thing for me to have it early, but I can't find anyone who will actually put it in my arm!

@OverweightPidgeon

Can your gp give it to you?
No; they don't have any supplies or anything to do with the vaccination programme. The GP was very nice and supportive, but doesn't have access to the vaccine or the system to book me in for one.

At the walk in clinic I work at we will jab you at under 8 weeks if you have a letter from your GP. The only other suggestion I have is to call 119 & see if they can book you in anywhere. If you look on Reddit get jabbed people list clinics that will do you under 8 weeks.

PS you get a better response waiting for 8 weeks, but I understand your wish to get it early.

Great tip, @Cookerhood, thank you!
