Just curious. I don't think you need to register them with the NHS/government page, as they are private tests. But I wonder if you are supposed to, for statistical purposes etc - e.g., on my Zoe app, it lists all the tests that I've had, and the private ones wouldn't be included.

Yes. Your test result to fly into the UK has to be input to your passenger locator form, this is scanned at passport control on arrival.

Thanks. I was thinking more about the pre departure test that I have just taken, or the ones I have to have when I arrive, etc. I also have the return to U.K. test, and then the day-2 test, all private and with their own codes/websites rather than the government one, but maybe it all goes to the same place

We got back from abroad last week and our booking reference went on the passenger locator form but not the results and no one even looked at or asked for our passenger locator form at immigration. They are apparently only doing spot checks now. No one checks you actually do the 2 day test. It's all a farce.

Yes I have heard that you don't have to and no one checks.

But I am wondering if they want you to, in order for the statistics on number of cases to be correct, or for your personal records etc.

I don't think they do want the correct number of cases tbh. You could enter into the ZOE app if you wanted.
