Hi all

I'm six weeks pregnant following a successful FET. I am due my second covid jab this week following the 12 week gap but I'm unsure whether to wait until we have reached our 12 week pregnancy scan?

I have never been pregnant before and have tried to research the advice but there isn't much about people who are due a second jab in the first trimester.

Both my clinic and GP have both said follow the advice of the other- which is no advice currently.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? I'm worried about potential MC and then the efficacy of the second jab if outside of the 12 week gap

There's no evidence to suggest the vaccination is linked to miscarriage at all. I believe many pregnant women have been vaccinated now.
Early pregnancy is anxiety inducing though so if it makes you feel better to wait then just do that.
Congratulations on your pregnancy.

RCOG had recommended waiting until second trimester, however with the huge numbers who have now been vaccinated they've concluded it is just as safe in the first trimester. Someone linked to them above, that's your best source of information. Good luck!

A friend of mine was due her second jab just as she found out she was pregnant. She was advised to wait until second trimester - she’s now had that and has to have another (3rd) in 8 weeks time. Different vaccine from the first too. 3 pregnant friends at the minute who have all been given different advice by HCP’s.
