Still meet?

Myself and an old colleague are due to meet for a long overdue catch up at the weekend.

She found out earlier in the week (Tues) that a colleague of hers had tested positive. She has not had to isolate as she's double vaccinated.

We have both been doing lateral flows quite regularly and plan to continue for the rest of the week, all of which have been negative. The plan is to continue with the meetup if she still tests negative on the day we are meeting.

Would you think this okay?

I personally wouldn’t but depends on how you both see the risk. LFTs have been negative for many but PCR tests positive when done.

Is it a close colleague?

I would, personally.

Yes

Government advice is to take a PCR test if you are identified as a close contact, also to consider face coverings in crowded places, and distancing from/avoiding close contact with vulnerable people.

That's what she should be doing, not LFTs.

I would probably postpone but I'm quite risk-adverse!
