Isolate or no?

Basically I saw a friend yesterday, we both do regular LF tests. We both did one yesterday and the day before and both were negative.

She's now been told that someone she works closely with at work is positive and she has to isolate. They tested positive yesterday when we saw each other so she'd already been exposed but didn't know it.

I know I don't officially have to isolate as not been contacted and friend isn't (so far) positive that we know of, but would you worry? She obviously tested negative on the LF she did on the day we saw each other so I'm guessing I don't need to be concerned. If she does go on to later test positive though, is there any risk I will even though her test was negative that day?

Sorry I'm very paranoid as I have a vulnerable baby.

No, you don’t need to be concerned. Remember your friend will only have to isolate because she’s not double vaccinated, otherwise she wouldn’t have to isolate either.

Is there a risk of me still getting it though if she goes on to test positive even though the test was negative when I saw her?

I'm unsure if there's a brief period when you first catch it where your test can be negative iyswim.

If she has a clear 48 hours from when she saw you and is still testing negative then I wouldn’t worry.
