Covid nails!

I have these!

I've never tested PCR positive but have been positive on LFT for almost seven weeks now so I've definitely definitely had it, and now I've got the nails. They're so weird! Red crescents shapes over the lunula, the nails lifting from the nail bed, the skin detaching from under the top of the nail, splinter haemorrhages, ridges, vertical lines going up them, can see my pulse in most of the nail beds, just like they're flashing pink and white! If I straighten my fingers, some of my nail beds go completely white apart from that red crescent and my nails feel..... tight. Like there's pressure underneath them. Saw the GP and she says Covid nails but is recommending cardiac checkup because these can be seen in cardiac conditions and Covid can damage the heart, she says.

Does anyone else have Covid nails?

First time I've heard of this OP. Poor you! Hope you're feeling better. Try not to fiddle with your nails too much. Get better soon!

This is definitely a thing. I read a scholarly dermatology article with medical photos, just as you describe.
I have had this on one of my feet, since having what I assume was COVID, although no tests then, so can’t prove it.
Also, the nails on my hands now have deep vertical ridges which actually really annoy me as they feel weird. Gel Polish covers it up on my hands but the toenails on the one foot are not so easily covered up. The nails are painful when I walk.
My feet feel constantly “tight”, itchy and burning….I have to apply cream multiple times a day and the feeling drives me mad.

Oh dear that sounds uncomfortable.

My children had Covid toes which was weird puss filled blisters on their toes. Not under the nails though.

The blisters mostly went after 2 - 3 weeks. I hope your hands/nails recover quickly too.

I have covid nails, just the ridges running vertical on each finger nail. I read somewhere that this happens about 3 weeks after infection. I've had covid multiple times and had Delta a few weeks ago. Mine aren't any bother, they just look strange.
