How long do PCR tests take to come back?

DH had one this morning...up to 3 days they said!
Just wondering what the 'norm' seems to be.

We all took them over the weekend and all had results in less than 24hrs, was very surprised.

I took 2 at the weekend. One took 24 hours for result, other 30 hours.

Sent mine back Sunday at two. got a text 10am Monday.

I did one at 11.30am yesterday and it was back at midnight! I've done a few in this pandemic and that's the quickest I've ever had one back!

Fantastic, thank you. I have a couple of things I really don't want to miss over the next couple of days so I will wait and see before cancelling then, as it may come back negative.
I am fully vaccinated so actually don't need to isolate, but it wouldn't feel right mixing with people if DH tests positive!

Sorry to hijack. Does anyone know what isolation rules are for weird tests? Had 2 positives, 2 negatives so done a pcr an hour ago. If my pcr comes back neg, do I still have to isolate with the change in rules for vaccinated humans?

I’ve had a few now and most of them take 2 days to return. I had my last one last week and it was back the next morning .

Same as, but apparently it was delivered the same day. I received it at 9 am and back in the post box an hour later. They delivered it at 5:40 pm, have you traced it? And I got the same email.

Last one I did was at 10.30am Sunday morning and had results by 9pm Sunday night!
