The new lateral flow tests?

Prior to this month I was using the older lateral flow tests supplied by the nhs. We’re now ordering them off the gov website and the two I’ve done today have come back like this - do I report them as faulty? I’ve been lateral flow testing since the end of this year and I’ve never had them come back like this! I’m 27 wks pregnant and have felt very very sick and tired in the last 24 hours - which of course could just be pregnancy related but I’m more aware of changes. I am double vaccinated. Anyone else noticed these are more temperamental?

I've not had ones like that. Are you making sure you're not putting too much in? Are they from the same batch? Are you leaving them longer than 15 mins?

I'd do one from another box if you've got one

I would say it was a spilt positive line and if you’re feeling unwell and pregnant you should be straight to PCR anyway for piece of mind

Or order a PCR test to confirm an unclear result

I’ve since done another lft from another box and it was clearly negative. I think it’s probably a faulty box but not sure how to report it - I did follow all instructions etc. Have been doing these since last year and never once have I had a result like this!!

I have noticed that with the new ones if you pick them up to read the result and tilt them then extra liquid can run down them.

I think I probably picked up the first but the second I definitely didn’t and the dye still ran!
I used another box and got a clear negative

Iv had problems with these ones as well. Checked after 15 mins and all negative. Left on window and when we got home maybe 3 hours later DH's had a clear second line. Absolute panic. Did another on old style tests and clear thank goodness. That's never happened before though.
