Me! Lasted 3 days and then returned to normal. actually called Pfizer to report but on one got back to me!

Notagain20 · 08/08/2021 14:30

Yep, only lasted a couple of days. Common side effect

MotionActivatedDog · 08/08/2021 14:31

Yes. Lasted a couple of days. I googled- normal reaction to a vaccine apparently.

NavaniKholinRocks · 08/08/2021 14:32

Yes! Only noticed it when trying to put deodorant on, ouch!! Settled down after a couple of days though.

DPotter · 08/08/2021 14:42

Totally standard reaction to any vaccination given in the arm.

ArianaG · 08/08/2021 14:46

Yes I had this for about a week after both pfizer vaccines

hehehhehe · 08/08/2021 14:47

Yes

r0ck · 08/08/2021 15:17

I had this too! Never had it with any other vaccine but it only lasted a few days.

Niconacotaco · 08/08/2021 15:24

Yes! Visible to the naked eye - I have never had a swollen gland like it. Like PP, it disappeared within 3 or 4 days

Emilyontmoor · 08/08/2021 15:25

The Lymph nodes in your armpit are basically rubbish bins. They will swell up if they are reacting to anything that provokes an antibody response. The only thing you should be aware of is that it might affect the results of a mammogram www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/coronavirus/covid19-vaccine-can-it-affect-your-mammogram-results%3famp=true

BakewellGin1 · 08/08/2021 15:40

Funny enough I just mentioned this to my Mum. I've got this after my second but not after first.

BunTooti · 08/08/2021 15:49

Yes! Thank you all, so reassuring. Had my jab Wednesday so hopefully it'll go down soon.

olympicsrock · 08/08/2021 15:53

Yes - swollen lymph glands is the cause. Means you have had a good immune response recognising and responding to the vaccine. Will settle in a week or so

KylieKoKo · 08/08/2021 17:03

I did. I went down on its own pretty quickly.

Potatoy · 08/08/2021 18:34

Its on page 4 of the leaflet. Says to see a doctor if it lasts longer than 10 days and mention it if you go for a mammogram in the few weeks after.

Potatoy · 08/08/2021 18:35

"What to expect after tour covid-19 vaccination" this leaflet not the PIL

ButterflyBitch · 08/08/2021 18:36

Not me but a friend had this reaction.

Potatoy · 08/08/2021 18:38

Thats the leaflet people in England get anyway

HorseGallopingOnATomato · 09/08/2021 05:05

I had this after Pfizer one and it lasted four weeks! Haven’t had the second one yet.

AllHailTheGreatGoddess · 09/08/2021 05:28

Yes, I had this. Cleared up after a couple of days.

ShaunaTheSheep · 09/08/2021 05:37

Yes. Also had swollen glands on my neck/throat.

LozzaChops101 · 09/08/2021 06:13

Yes, my lymph glands were furious about the whole thing (groin ones too). Went down after about a week, but fatigue and shivers are lingering. I think I'm a week ahead of you on timings OP, I was Weds before last.

ferretface · 09/08/2021 09:18

Yep, lasted about 5 days.

BunTooti · 09/08/2021 10:34

Definitely gone down a bit today.

Crackingowlsanctuary · 09/08/2021 14:02

Yes but my swollen lymph node was on my collarbone… didn’t realise we had them there until that happened! Had to google to find out what it was but it’s normal. Mine was quite sore but went down within a few days.
