The thing is I can sort of understand his logic if he's convinced a vaccination person is going to shed scary VAX all over him

But why also opposed to masks?! Like that is something that genuinely has no impact on you as a cab driver.

There are some seriously odd people in this new world ...

I am all for freedom to do/not do either of those things.. but this is nuts.

Sauce for the unvaccinated goose is sauce for the vaccinated gander. If you're fine with the unvaccinated being banned from stuff (saying, for instance, "it's a free society but choices have consequences") then why is this different? The potential passengers chose to be vaccinated, they can deal with the consequences.

On the other hand maybe, like me, you think medical information should remain private and discrimination based on vaccine status should be illegal. In which case the taxi company are of course in the wrong.

How will people prove that they're unvaccinated?

I hope this is well,advertised, so those who want to avoid it can do so.

I read another story where a cafe was going to charge marked customers extra. Totally mad.

I walked past a cafe at the weekend which had a board outside saying something like "mask cultists not welcome here". We went to a different cafe.

Thing is I would go to a cafe with a ‘please wear a mask’ sign in the window

I would go to a cafe with a ‘please don’t wear a mask’ sign in the window

I wouldn’t go in a cafe with a sign that rude one way or the other

It’s because in the USA it’s a public declaration of a political view that differs from yours. Imagine if everyone in the UK went around wearing a T shirt saying “Brexit!” Or “Remain!”.

I'm not in the USA. It was on the Isle of Wight, where masks don't really seem to be a thing, apart from in Marks and Spencer.
