NC because I realise this makes me sound like a conspiracy nut and I'm not. I'm just bewildered.

DH, DS and I tested positive by lateral flow. PCR confirmed DS but not DH, me or DD. Two days later, I got emails from NHS telling us our Covid tests we had taken the day before were all negative. We hadn't taken any. I called T&T and they couldn't explain what happened but advised we retake the LF tests, said they had massive amounts of data to process. We did, all positive, repeated PCR, all came back negative! About six hours later, I got pinged as a close contact and so did DD, but DS and DH got text and email telling them they were positive! Called T&T again. Again told about masses of data and told that it was their PCR that was positive that causes the ping, not their lat flow- which makes sense because I didn't get a message telling me I was positive.

Until today. I got an email when I woke up this morning telling me my Covid test I took four days ago was positive. DD is the only one of us who is genuinely unwell with high temp, loss of smell, cough , and she tested negative on PCR.

I have no idea what's going on. None at all. Has anyone experienced similar??

I don’t think it is a conspiracy or deliberate.

It tells on viral load and the tests bring done properly and probably yes they are very busy at the moment.

I'm not quite sure I follow. Do you mean you've had two results from one test?

Yes!!

For example, we all tested on august 4th, all hot a negative result and then on the 6th, DS and DH were emailed saying their test taken on the 6th was positive and me and DD were pinged as close contacts! This morning, I got an email saying that my test result on the 4th was also positive, but all four of us got emails on the morning of the 5th saying our tests were negative. Are they retesting samples?? Do they have them double checked by someone else who overrides the original? Or is it a massive fuck up?

Their test taken on the 4th, sorry.

We also got an email on the 3rd telling us our tests we took on the 2nd were all negative.... we didn't take any. That's why we had to repeat. Some of us tested positive on the 1st, then we got that weird email about tests we didn't take, then we redid our lateral flows like they asked and acted accordingly by booking new PCRs. All negative. But two days later, DH and DS were emailed saying their test was positive. The day after, I was. We haven't taken any other tests, haven't reported any positive lateral flow apart from when we actually called for advice.
We were still isolating because we had several positive lateral flows, but I genuinely don't know if we tested positive or not! Three of us have had both a negative and positive email from the same test. And the only one of us who seems to actually have it hasn't had a positive result

The safest thing for you all to do is just isolate for 10 days just in case one of you really is positive. I have no idea what is going on but it sounds like the whole system is broken?
