From today in Italy you need a "green pass" to access restaurants and entertainment venues

As the title says! You need to have had at least one vaccination if you are over 12. So if you are on holiday and you haven't been vaccinated or recently tested you can't eat indoors (outdoor dining is ok).

Not sure which other countries have adopted this? France? The Netherlands?

Ireland too. Over 18’s have to have a Covid passport which you get one week after second vaccine .
Then you can indoor dine

New York City. I think it is called the Excelsior Pass for over 16s.

Yep.
Also confirmed that school staff and all university students will have to have the green pass from 1st September. Aircraft and long distance trains too.
