Hey,

I am 19 weeks and nervous about getting the vaccine I am more leaning towards getting it. I just haven't seen much data on pregnant ladies having the vaccine and then giving birth.
Has anyone had the vaccine and given birth since? What were your experiences?
Thanks for your help X

Hi there
I had my 1st dose at 33wks and was then due to have my 2nd dose at 38.5wks, but baby came naturally and easily at 37wks and absolutely perfect.
He's now 7wks and breastfed, which has also not been an issue.
The studies in the US have shown babies are being born with antibodies and that the antibodies are also being passed via the breast milk.
With regards to side effects of the jab...a sore arm for a few days after both doses, that was it.
Hope that helps.
X

As above had first 32 weeks ( was AZ as back in March before advice change) second 1 month postnatal as gap was still 12 weeks. Breastfeeding and no known side effects for him or me .

Don’t know if this is of any use to you, but my niece had her first jab at 40+1 and gave birth 4 days later - all well.
