If you got contacted by track and trace before the 16th August but the 10 day isolation period went beyond the 16th would the isolation stop on the 16th?

Officially I believe not. However I would think it’s exceedingly unlikely to be policed.

Can’t imagine T&T phoning people on 23rd August saying “tut tut you’re only 9 days in, remember it’s still illegal to leave your house before tomorrow”

Going by how it has worked with holiday quarantine and people having to do the whole isolation time when things have changed I would guess it would be the same and you would have to do the whole time but we won't know until the16th for sure so we can only guess

With other changes it has been contacts/notifications/arrivals etc after the change date, anything started beforehand continues as is. Would expect this to be the same

When they changed isolation period from 14 - 10 days my sons bubble was isolating and they brought the end day forward so possibly.
Who in their right mind would stick to the 10 days though knowing they wouldn't have to do it at all if they had contact just a few days later.
I wouldn't.
