Pinged but not left the house

I've just been pinged. I last left the house with my phone last Thursday. Apparently I've been in contact with someone who has covid. Can I ignore this? I'm not planning on going anywhere but the dogs need walking

You can ignore the app. It is Test & Trace (who will ring you) that is legally binding.

Sparklingbrook · 04/08/2021 17:16

There’s somewhere in it you can find out when the contact was supposed to be.

dementedpixie · 04/08/2021 17:16

Why have the app if you're going to ignore it?
Have you checked when it says your contact date was?

crochetcrazy1978 · 04/08/2021 17:16

It goes on Bluetooth so maybe a neighbour has tested positive and it's picked up your mobile through the wall

When does it say the contact was?

If it's later than Thursday it could be a neighbour through the walls or something like that

Not that it matters, a ping is recommend not mandatory.
