Testing positive abroad again

Sorry but I can't find a definitive answer. If we go to France (from Italy) and someone gets covid, can we drive back to Italy or would we be stuck??? As far as I can see we would be ok - adults plus ds16 are double vaccinated and under 12s don't need to do anything. Am I right? Thanks!

Pretty sure you’re probably supposed to isolate and stay where you are…

PaddleBlue · 04/08/2021 09:38

Have you googled France isolation rules?

Yes and I am still confused! We don't need to do any tests to travel so it seems unlikely that we would test positive.

Your green pass is revoked and you have to isolate until you test negative.

You're correct in that you don't need any test for the under 12s.

If anyone of the group does test positive while you're there though, you would have to stay.

@Geamhradh Thanks! As we wouldn't be getting a plane I suppose it would be unlikely that we would be tested anyway but there is always the chance that you could be asked to do a test if you fail the thermometer! I suppose it's a bit risky and not really necessary. I just really, really want to get out of Italy a bit. Grin

Tell me about it Grin
I keep almost booking flights to the UK then thinking "GAH, what if DD (first jab tomorrow) turns out to be positive"
