Rash after 2nd Pfizer Vaccination

DS has developed a rash after his second vaccination on Saturday. Just wondered if anyone else had had this? It looks quite angry and is on his back and front. Thanks

I would take antihistamines and do a yellow card report. If it's spreading or any other symptoms you can get advice from 111.

My DH broke out with shingles after his, and his rash looked very similar. Is your DS in any pain?

If it's that, it's important to start with the anti-virals ASAP - I'd phone 111 just in case.

Thanks for your replies. I think it could be shingles, having just googled it. He's just phoned the doctors and they can see him in 10 minutes, I'm astounded .

@CardiganOfDoom He does have shingles, but he isn't any any pain at all, wondering if it's because it has only developed throughout the day today. He's already started on some antiviral medication. Thanks for mentioning it and glad I posted now.

Not much fun, especially if it does become painful, but I’m so glad you got treatment so quickly. It should stop it developing any further.
