How soon after a positive test would 'close contacts' be called?

My mum tested positive on a Sunday, we were contacted Monday

They try to contact within 2 days from receiving details, but it doesn’t always work out that way.

I got a text as soon as DH completed the form

Do they send positive results by text please?

I had phone call and text message.

If you've had a PCR and provided your number they'll send an email and a text to let you know if you're positive or negative

I have a copy of the text but it won't let me post it grr

That does not look like a genuine result text - the wording is wrong.

Did you enter a lateral flow positive result?

Definitely fake if it was whatsapp. When did you take the test and was it PCR or lateral flow?

Also "has come back positive" would just read "is positive".

How would the NHS know to contact them if you didn't provide the tracers their details?

the results they email and text. You get 2 of each one with the results and one with the code to put in to the app, so 4 all together.
