COVID pass

My friend had both jabs about a month apart in May/ June at walk ins. She was nervous about immigration status at that point and wasn’t registered with a GP (is now.) At the time they said no problem to get the jab without an NHS gp etc. She did both, and has the card etc. She told her nhs gp the situation and they updated her GP surgery records, but after downloading the app neither jab appears on the ‘Your Covid Vaccine’ section (but is on the surgery records section.) So she can’t apply for the Covid pass. Any ideas about what to do? Both jabs were at random vaccine mobile centres so might be hard to track down the original records.

How long ago did she download the app? It says it takes up to 10 days after downloading the app for the covid passport to appear.

@pissinthepottyplease Ooh I dunno. Will text and ask. But it’s odd that the vaccines are listed on the GP surgery section and not the your Covid vaccine bit, no? Who is in charge of updating the Covid vaccine bit? Is it the GP or some other organisation? Sorry lots of questions which you may not know the answer to Smile

@Anonawoman yeah both in England. Ok but they weren’t Centres apparently. Just random buses. She has no idea it was just a walk in. She thought the card would be proof, and that after updating with the gp they would go on there. Hmm I guess she has to contact whoever updates Pinnacle then

You mean the Covid app? I don't have those sections on mine. Confused

ThatMondayFeeling · 01/08/2021 21:20

@TheLovelinessOfDemons no on the NHS app - where the covid pass thing is supposed to be. The problem is that from 16th August she’s going to need to prove that she’s had both jabs so she doesn’t have to isolate if pinged (for work.) It’s such a bummer as I saw her after both and she had such rubbish side effects too (I sailed through mine but she was knocked out for days.)

@AnonawomanThanks that’s a great suggestion. I’ll do that.
It’s tricky because there was that encouragement to get the jab in certain communities saying you don’t have to be registered with a gp or show ID and no one will look into your immigration status etc but nobody said anything about the fact that it might not count officially. She’s even thinking of getting them done again just to get them officially done but I’m majorly against that as it could be really dangerous to get four jabs! Anyway thanks for the suggestion
