Second dose Pfizer symptoms.

I appreciate everyone will be different but what are the likely side effects?

Dp is having his second dose of Pfizer this week. He had no side effects after the first part from a sore arm. Should he expect symptoms this time?

The nurse who did mine (I had Astra Zeneca) told me with Pfizer you usually don't get symptoms with the first but do with the second. But with AZ you get ill with the first and the second. AZ was opposite for me. Fine with the first but wiped out after the second so it really does depend I guess.

He's got a full busy week of work lined up. He's adamant he's going work regardless of how he feels - hates having time off.

What side effects can he expect and how long do they last?

Like your DH I just had a sore arm after first dose. After second (1.5 weeks ago) I had a sore arm and began to feel tired and achy like I was coming down with something, with muscle pains (this was about 12 hours after vaccine). This carried on to the next day but was fairly well managed with paracetamol. I also had some pain under my arm in vaccine arm as if a lymph node was up.

Thank you. Hope you are feeling better now. He's very much a carry on as usual unless have to person! I suggested he booked the next day off just in case work but time will tell how he feels.

Slightly achey arm after my second yesterday, no further symptoms

I had full on flu symptoms that lasted 24 hours then completely disappeared.

No reaction to first, full in flu like illness for 3 days after second jab, then woke following that feeling fine again. No way I could’ve worked with that reaction, but I have other medical complications that may have increased the reaction. I do know the majority of those I know who’ve had Pfizer have had similar flu like reaction for a few days however.

I had sore arm for a few days after my first Pfizer and nothing at all after the second. It's so different for everyone.

I had a sore arm after both doses but no other symptom.

Had my 2nd dose yesterday morning. Woke in the night with a fever and then chills, and feel pretty wiped out today. Its like a major fuzzy brain fog. Hoping I'll pick up a bit by tomorrow. I felt incredibly tired after my first dose. DH also had second dose yesterday and is feeling rough but a bit better than me.

No sore arm after the second one but joints still stiff and achey a week on.

Sore arm for 24 hrs after 1st dose and then again but for less than 12 hours after the second dose. That was it. Same for DH.

1st one I had a mild headache and a sore arm for 48 hours.

2nd one I had nothing. Maybe a slightly sore arm if I poked it.

I had a sore swollen armpit as if my lymph nodes were all up. It lasted a few days but didn't stop being getting on with things.

Had phizer 2pm yesterday 2nd dose.
Inially felt OK but over night midnight onwards arm really hurts and feel shattered.
My sister and husband said same extreme fatigue for upto 2 weeks .

I felt really tired after 1st one.

My arm so much for a few days after my first, it was unbearable.

After my second my arm ached a little for a few days.

My husband had no symptoms with either jab.

I had a v sore arm both times and felt slightly off the evening after I had the second one. Nothing a warm bath and a Lemsip didn't cure

I had Pfizer, sore arm after the first but nothing else and had my second vaccine on Friday and have just felt a bit tired and arm isn't as sore this time. Nothing else

Both my husband and I had identical symptoms after both Pfizer doses:

1st dose: very sore arm for 2-3 days, nothing else.

2nd dose: sore arm but not as bad as after 1st. Nothing else.

Se we were lucky. To be honest I've heard different experiences from everyone.
