DD’s symptoms started on the 20th track and trace have given her isolation end date as 2nd of august. They are refusing to change this

Did they say why?

Moneytootight78 · 30/07/2021 21:47

Nope

When did they give you the date? Have they given you a date 10 days from when she did the test?

monstermunch1 · 30/07/2021 22:18

Its a computer programme - you can work out the appropriate date yourself.

Santastealer · 30/07/2021 22:22

I assume they are going from the test result not symptom start date.

They often do this if it can’t be certain the symptoms were actually covid and not something else.

If they weren’t one of the 3 main identified symptoms then they don’t count.

Moneytootight78 · 30/07/2021 23:01

Thanks everyone I did think it was based on the test result but it’s not even that. Just seems random

We’ve disputed it but the lady on the phone said oh it’s only another three days which doesn’t seem a lot but when you’ve been in since the 14th it really is

What's the reason for you being in since the 14th?
WhatTheFoot · 30/07/2021 23:13

Did you tell them the date symptoms started? If you told them that symptoms started on 20th they would say that is day zero and will have counted on 10 days from that date - so based on that, 30th should have been the last day of isolation I think. If you don't think they're right you can ring 119 and talk it through. If you didn't tell them the date symptoms started they will have gone off the test date.

Moneytootight78 · 31/07/2021 12:01

My son tested positive on the 14th so we isolated as close contacts. We’ve since all developed Covid but only dd is still in in isolation

The test date was the 28th so it would be later then the 2nd august if that was the case. Which is why I’m so confused

What symptoms did she have on the 20th? Was it one of the classic three?

Moneytootight78 · 31/07/2021 15:09

Cough and sore throat we did a home testing kit but we assume it got lost as we never got her results
