My youngest daughter tested positive for the rona, we were told to get tested at home, I've just done the tests on the hubby and our other son, but if we re self isolating and not supposed to leave the house how can I post it? Can I wear a mask and drive to the post box?

Yes you can

Thank you! It's all a bit confusing! The post box is literally round the corner x

you can mask up and walk to the post box, but stay away from people and go straight there and back. Thats allowed

If your dd had a positive LF test then advice is to test her with a PCR test, and the rest of the family. An instruction booklet with the PCR tests tell you how to look up your nearest priority post box and of course it's fine to go and post them.

Yeah she had 1 feint positive on LF, then 2 negatives, so did PCR and that came back positive, posted off our PCR tests at lunchtime, our LF were negative but just want to be on the safe side as I don't trust the LF now as DD had two negative and 1 positive

Yes you can go to the post box. I've had to do it a few times and it's tricky if you have no car as have to avoid people.

They are still doing courier pick ups

If you do that are they discreet about it? Could do without my nosey neighbours gossiping.

I tried to book one and they said it wasn’t available. :( I wonder if it’s dependent on location.
JosephineDeBeauharnais · 30/07/2021 20:36

You can also drive to the testing station instead of doing an at home test.

MulberrySquash · 30/07/2021 21:28

@Mickarooni

It wasn't clear from the website but when I phoned they arranged for ours to be collected. It could well be dependant on area.

Mickarooni · 30/07/2021 22:54

@MulberrySquash

Interesting, thank you. :)

DoubleDeckerSwimmer · 30/07/2021 23:15

You are allowed to leave to post a test or go to a test centre.

MulberrySquash · 30/07/2021 23:23

@clickychicky didn't work out like that for me. Driver pulled up blasting out really loud music and then stood putting each test in separate bags in full view of the street! I was just grateful to not have to go out myself as I felt rough earlier.

clickychicky · 31/07/2021 07:31

@MulberrySquash thanks I'll use them as a last resort then or we'll be forever known as the plauge House.
