Fatigue and coronavirus

Hi,

I tested positive for Covid just over a week ago. It's been a rough ride but fingers crossed I'm over the worst. I'm still feel nauseous quite a bit but can manage it what I can't seem to manage is the fatigue. Honestly it's a tiredness I've never experienced in my life. I have two small children so I guess that makes me tired but honestly this is unbearable. It's like I go in and out of consciousness without knowing. If anybody else experienced fatigue how long did it stick around for? I really want to feel normal again this is horrible.

I first started with symptoms on 5th June and for the first couple of weeks I was wrecked. I'm functioning OK now but could do with a nap most afternoons! Glad I didn't have littlees to look after though, good luck, I'm sure you'll be feeling better soon x

A friend of mine said fatigue and tiredness were the worst symptoms. She got a doctors note and spent another 2 weeks really not doing much and she is someone that cannot sit still. Hope you start to feel better soon.

It's slightly up in the air whether I had covid (positive LFT then negative PCR) but my main symptom was overwhelming fatigue. Two weeks in and I'm still needing afternoon naps. Never known fatigue like it!

I hope you're on the mend soon.

The fatigue is awful. I'm one of those people who can't sit in the house and always have to be doing something so I would definitely say fatigue is the worst symptom for me. I just put a wash on and honestly had to sit down and just fell asleep sitting up. It's horrible.

My symptoms started 2 weeks ago, positive PCR the following Monday and out of quarantine Wednesday just gone. 1 vaccination so far. Generally speaking just moderate cold symptoms, plus the awful fatigue. I still have a cough, and taste/smell only returned by maybe 10-20%. I was still suffering with fatigue awfully until yesterday, which was dramatically better. Still exhausted by 9pm, but functioned through a pretty hectic work day without issue. This time last week i had to sit down for half an hour after loading the washing machine.

Thank you so much for you reply! My isolation ends on Tuesday and I'm desperate to enjoy the summer holidays with my kids. They are bouncing off the walls indoors but honestly unless this fatigue starts to improve I don't see how that will be possible. X

Has anyone asked for a blood test to check Irwin levels?

My tiredness lasted for about 2 weeks. I was sleeping 14 hours a night, as an insomniac it was bloody fantastic Grin I want covid again just so I can sleep Wink
