How do you see the ping , I have been pinged twice today and I took photo of first but not second

Can you not go into the app?

Check emails?

No emails and on the app it has where I have been , tests but no notifications of ping

I don't think it's a true ping. Sometimes you get like an exposure notification but it doesn't amount to anything. If you've been pinged it will be very obvious in the app.

If the app itself isn’t showing very clearly that you are meant to be in isolation (it will very obviously show a countdown of the number of days isolation left when you open it) then I don’t think you’ve been pinged in the way people are using the phrase.

I’ve had a number of alerts telling me it’s picked up that I’ve been in vicinity of a case but for whatever reason it hasn’t triggered an isolation. One I’m certain was from waiting on a bench by a priority postbox which in hindsight wasn’t the best idea.

If the app isn’t showing anything now, you haven’t been pinged. It would have a countdown if you had. Hope that’s good news!

My boyfriend also had one saying take a test now

It says take a test if he has symptoms. Same as anyone.

I’ve never seen that screen before but It makes sense it links to somewhere you’ve scanned into but not been in close enough proximity with someone to trigger a close contact ping. Cinema? Restaurant?

I think that is a check in ping, just advising there were cases where you were, pub or restaurant maybe. Not an isolation ping just advisory for test

This is what mine looked like. In the settings, then other data I could find out what date I had my “encounter” but no further information. I have no idea where I was when I had the encounter.

Your boyfriend’s is from a check in with a QR code. Mine was from being in close proximity I believe.
