When you give your contact information manually to the hairdresser (they don’t have a QR code) will test and trace contact you if somebody tests positive that you were in contact with? I’m getting married in ten days and can’t afford to self isolate but badly need my hair coloured

Im in isolation d ue to my hairdresser being positive, spent 2 hours with her, had highlights done, cut and blow dry etc. How i found out, i was told to isolate by the app, then test and trace.

I wouldn’t risk it personally. To be honest, I would cut contact as far as possible with anyone who might give my name to T&T

Katya213 · 27/07/2021 22:31

I wouldnt advise it, had i have booked two days later with the hairdresser, i would nt have been able to go to Ireland to see my dad who i havent seen in a year. Can you just put a colour in yourself?

Alice12070 · 27/07/2021 22:50

Not really, my hair now just looks like it did for the past year colour wise before I got it dyed darker six weeks ago but thinking as it looks like it used to it might just be worth keeping it like that and doing some sort of hair mask to liven it up a bit as it looks a bit dull/not glossy

I think your plan sounds wise. Avoid the hairdressers now
Hope all goes well for your wedding Thanks

Katya213 · 27/07/2021 22:57

That sounds like a better plan. I would not risk anything if i was due to be married in just over a week. Hope you have a lovely day and im sure you will look amazing!!x

This is definitely turning into a hairdressing thread instead of a covid thread but does anyone have any hydrating tips to get my hair looking glossy Grin

I would avoid I did the same before my little ones christening last weekend it just wasn’t worth the risk of catching it so close to the day and my hair takes 3 hours. I just used a Moroccan oil deep conditioning mask then Josh Wood gloss, there are different ones to choose depending on your hair colour and it’s designed to be used between salon visits. Good luck with your wedding Smile
