What to do about covid test?

I went to bed last night and I wasn't feeling well. It wasn't with any cold/flu/covid symptoms. I had backache. This morning I had some other symptoms - tummy cramp, nausea, fainting, fever.

I never once thought of covid. I have 2 phizer jabs. I am keeping my contacts low and I am still following the public health guidelines. There's no body on my circle sick with covid.

I thought maybe it was a kidney infection. I booked a doctors appointment. A urine test showed an infection. The doctor recommended a covid test because if the fever.

I'm not too keen on going for a covid test. I don't feel sick with cold/flu like symptoms. It's all tummy and back related.

I feel tired too and I don't feel like doing a covid test today. I need some sleep. Maybe tomorrow.

I'm not in the UK and I don't have access to your home test kits.

If you’re staying in anyway and not seeing anyone just go when you feel up to it. Get well soon Flowers

Whilst I know it may not sounds like Covid on the surface, it can manifest in different ways to those who have the jab. And as a doctor has advised then you do need to.

So I guess your choice is to either self isolate for 10 days or take one.

Can someone drive you? I've taken my son many times due to nursery policies and it honestly takes less than 5 minutes with no waiting-results next day

I'd get a PCR, my mums covid started like this. Hope you feel better soon x

I ran a fever all day. I will see what I can do about a covid test tomorrow. I am isolatinh away from others. I'm not coughing out infectious fluids.

If you’ve had a urine test and it’s shown an infection, then surely this needs treating with antibiotics, whether or not you have covid. Urine infections will give you the symptoms you describe. I would get back on to your doctor and tell them you are too ill to go for test and that you are isolating anyway, but need antibiotics.

Thank you so much.

I was started on antibiotics today. I'm taking them. The doctor would like me to get a covid test just to rule it out. I would be very surprised if it was covid.

I don't feel very sick. My appetite is huge. It's just the fever that is throwing things off for me now at this stage.
