Firstly, yes I know the app isn't compulsory/effective/legally enforceable, but that's not what this thread is about. I'm just wondering, if I pause contact tracing, will any 'pings' from previous days still come through?
I don't usually have the contact tracing switched on as I'm worried I would forget to switch it off for work, and I don't usually go anywhere it would be useful. However I've just been away for a week and I switched it on as I knew I would be in crowded places, with not many people wearing masks, and thought it was sensible. Now that I am home and back at work I've switched it off, but if I had been exposed while I was away, would the ping still come through with contact tracing now still off?
