Missed calls when isolating

I arrived in the UK from an amber list country last week. I got calls each morning to check I’m isolating, day 2 testing etc. Yesterday I had a call but couldn’t hear a word they were saying so I asked them to call back and they didn’t. Today they called and I was in another room and missed it. Anyone know if you can get in trouble for missing the calls?

No you won’t, they’ll just keep trying. They might get someone to visit in person as well.

Nothing will happen. DH and I have both missed a few of them. I would say between us we got about 10 calls and managed to answer maybe 5 of them. Out of quarantine now, hurrah! They still called this morning though, although I missed it.

My niece missed a couple of calls while self isolating and someone actually went round to check she was in.She had tested positive for covid though ,so maybe a bit different.

I missed a few calls and they didn’t come to visit. I was quite looking forward to some new company after 4 days isolation so I was disappointed they didn’t show up.

You'll be fine OP. We missed a few calls while doing Amber isolation and no one came knocking. As we did just abide by all the rules and stay home. It's such a relief when you're free to go!

You'll be fine. We had to do it last month and it was only after three days of missed calls that DH realised he'd had his phone on do not disturb! He did get two knocks at the door though.

We all tested positive in our house ..... the calls were relentless....... answering the same questions over and over again. Painful.

No calls after the initial call. For either +ve child.

Missed every call as only stayed in the UK for one day (back to the Amber country the next day) and they ended up doing a home visit. The person opening the door said I had left the country and there was no follow-up.

They would not get far with me as I seldom answer the door and only callers on my white list get through.

DS was in Spain. He missed every single call when he got back.
They came to the door though on about day 4 or 5.
