Toddler testing - how many times?!

DS is 18 months and is one of those kids who is ALWAYS snotty. Since starting nursery in March he's probably had at least one PCR a month because he's presented with a cough or fever (all negative). He had a PCR last week due to a fever - results back Thursday (negative).
Over the weekend, lo and behold, his nose is running again and he has a cough. I wouldn't call it a persistent cough. More the kind when you have a cold and you're phlegmy. I can hear his chest is quite congested. No fever and he's fine otherwise, eating and playing etc.

WWYD - book yet another PCR?! They're going to think I'm mental at the local test centre :)

Oh also forgot to say - we've all done LFT regularly over the past week due to various sniffles. All negative.
Just feel like I'm constantly testing at the moment!

4 times now for DD 2.5! It's getting ridiculous. She has picked up so many coughs from nursery.

I would but my toddler is quite agreeable to being tested which makes it easier.

We have been at the test centre at least once per month for the last year. 2 kids under 4 so lots of nursery germs.
Anyway, the latest one was positive so definitely worth testing

We’ve had so many & my DD is quite traumatised by them. I must admit, I tend to do LFT’s on DD now, I can’t afford to miss anymore work waiting for PCR’s to come back 😫 I’m on a warning at work for missing so much time..

4 for symptoms, 2 for hospital stays. All very traumatic! She's 5

My 14 month old had 2 pcrs 6 days apart for separate bouts of fever (3 full days of no fever in between) . Both negative. Test centre staff didn't remember us the second time!

You have my sympathies OP, similar situation here with my DD who is 20 months. She knows where we are once we pull into the test centre and starts getting very upset before we've even done the test
