Hi all! Having a covid test this week a few days before an op .
It's done by the staff there not by myself. I've only had one covid test so far last year and I really struggled with the throat.
I have jaw issues! My jaw opens probably half the diameter or less of a typical jaw. If I stick my tongue out it takes up the whole diameter of my mouth. I've also got a really short tongue. It's really painful to keep open my mouth for long and my tongue just moves around involuntarily.
My surgery is related to my jaw - wisdom teeth removal this week and hopefully further treatment for my jaw.
Do you think the test staff will be understanding? Perhaps use one of those lolly stick looking things to keep my tongue down? Or maybe just do the nostrils? Worried I'm going to gag and it'll touch my tongue or teeth. My mouth is so small 😒😒
