Dd caught it on Saturday, got some symptoms on Monday (sore throat), but kept testing negative on LFT until Thursday. Covid confirmed by PCR on Friday.
On the other hand, Friend's ds had a sore throat after school on Tuesday and tested positive on LFT straight away.
