Notification from the app and contact from test and trace?

Did anyone get a notification to isolate from the NHS app and then get a phone call from test and trace a few day later?

Were they about the same positive case or were they 2 separate contacts?
Test and trace don't know who the app has contacted

Oh i see. I got told to isolate by the app yesterday and then test and trace on phone today, im taking it that its the same person.

Yes, quite normal to follow up with a phone call to check you know the self isolation rules.

Probably the same contact but nothing to do with the app

It's probably someone who also has the app AND has named you to T&T as a contact hence the call. The app wouldn't trigger follow up calls.

Yep I got pinged by the app (weirdly DH didn't even though we had been with the same person who tested positive) and then both had texts from NHS tracing a few days later when she got her positive pcr and then named us as contacts.

Thank you everybody! Just hope i dont develo p symptoms. It was my hairdresser, so we were in close proximity for two hours, she made me tea etc but wore ppe and i wore a mask. Fingers crossed anyway.

when dd tested positive I was pinged by the app as soon as she had the results and put the code in to the app. Then once test and trace had rang I got an email and text from them.

The app is automatic once the positive code has been put in to the persons phone, the phonecalls, texts and emails are done manually by a person. The person doesn't know who has the app.
