Has anyone used the Royal Mail code off the bar code on the postage label to track their home pcr test? Ie. Do you know if it gets scanned/tracked when it is collected from the post box or only when it gets delivered to the lab?

Yes. It gets tracked on collection (or maybe at the sorting office?) and on delivery.

It gets tracked on collection and delivery, but mine goes to the Birmingham sorting office and shows as delivered when it reaches the Birmingham sorting hub.

Yes I’ve tracked mine, two recently, I think it got scanned at my local sorting office and when it was delivered, maybe somewhere else on the way. Both of mine (antibody and PCR) were scanned into the sorting office around 6.30pm (collection at 4.30) and then delivered around 6.30am the next day, this was a month ago though so maybe slower now?

Ah that’s good to know. Postbox should have been emptied at 4.30 so hopefully will get something on the tracking later on to confirm that it’s in transit so I at least have some rough idea of when I’m likely to get the result!
