Waiting… and waiting… It was 24hrs in May, but that was before the Surge.

Has anyone got a home PCR test this week?

Not a home test but I'm still waiting for driver through results 26 hours later....

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 23/07/2021 14:28

We’ve recently had to do two lots (so a total of five tests in the last fortnight) and they’ve all come back within around 24 - 48 hours of posting. One test was maybe a little bit longer, but only by a few hours. They don’t all come back at the same time though.

Starlightstarbright1 · 23/07/2021 14:30

I had one sunday about 30 hours.

rainbowfairydust · 23/07/2021 14:32

About 30 hours in the south east.. Wednesday night delivered at 8pm, got them in the early hours of Friday

LazyViper · 23/07/2021 15:08

Ah okay, hopefully won’t be much longer then. Thanks all.

Did mine Wednesday evening. Still not back

FromTheAshes · 23/07/2021 17:07

I posted mine Monday morning, it was recorded as delivered Monday evening. Results came back 4am this morning so 3.5 days after delivery to the lab.

MindTheBumps · 23/07/2021 17:22

I had some back last week in less than 24 hours.

WrongKindOfFace · 23/07/2021 21:12

Here home tests are taking around three days from posting. Drive in or walk are much quicker.

User260486 · 23/07/2021 21:18

About 24 hours a two days ago, dropped off at a nearest priority box around 3 pm, results next day at appr. same time.

Pigeonorcoot · 23/07/2021 21:19

Dd's took ages but then we called to chase and it hadn't been been registered correctly. Once that was sorted we got it back within an hour. If it's been more than 48hrs I'd call to check.

Whiskycav · 23/07/2021 21:26

Its over 48 hours and still nothing here.

Usually, it's about 36 hours. I thought they had tested less people this week, so I am confused how it's taking longer.

Unless the testers have been 'pinged' Grin

Thank you. I will call tomorrow if they aren't back.

About 24 hours from when it was collected from the post box here.

bananaJamas · 24/07/2021 07:31

This week we had results back in under 24 hours

raspberryrippleicecream · 24/07/2021 09:12

Drive in on Thursday - 14 hours.

Whiskycav · 24/07/2021 09:13

Got ours back this morning.

So about 60 hours from posting.

Exactly the same happened to DS. Once they linked the barcode to his details the results came through within a few minutes. It's definitely worth ringing and asking them to check the rest is registered properly.

Whenigrowupiwanttobea · 24/07/2021 09:17

I had mine delivered last Saturday.
Did test on Sunday and took it to NHS post box.
Results back less than 24 hours later!

Thiscantreallybehappening · 24/07/2021 09:17

the test is registered properly.
