Hi All,

Please could I seek some advice. My partner’s daughter has just tested + on her lateral flow test and is booked for a PCR tomorrow.

My partner and I dont yet live together but are both isolating as we had contact with their daughter.

My partner is isolating with their 2 children and I am staying home at mine. My partner hugely suffers with her mental health and is already saying she cant cope and wont be able to cope. Can you please advise on what things youve done to help with mental health during isolation? I’m really quite worried.

I would go and stay there if I didn't have my own child who I share with my ex who is cev and if I was to catch covid they could become extremely unwell if I then was a-symptomatic and he would be very unwell.

Any help gratefully received.

She needs to keep busy. Has she got any jobs around the house that need doing? Something like redecorating would keep her busy and give her a sense of accomplishment.

Or a new hobby. A friend of mine has been raving about jewel art. You can pick up the kits fairly cheaply on Amazon and doing it is meant to be very meditative.

Does she cook or bake? It would be a great time to try out some time consuming recipes that she might not usually have time for.

Assuming she stays well she could try out exercise videos on YouTube - there's plenty of yoga, pilates, Zumba etc on there.
