Quarantine at home

My dh has been away for work in Victoria, Australia for three weeks. He comes home tomorrow to Adelaide. We are in lockdown for the first time and previously he has quarantined at a hotel. Now he is able to q at home.

We have an ensuite so I am vacating our bedroom and setting up computer etc for him.

My question is, has anyone else done this and how did they cope with children wanting to see daddy etc. our bedroom is literally by the front room so not like it is out of sight out of mind. And do I have to feed him? 😂

I don't think you're going to get the kind of responses you're after on a UK site! As an Aussie in the UK with family in both states you mention, so I understand your mentality, I will say what other British are going to say: don't shut him away from your family.

Honestly the chances of your DH having Covid in Australia are so so miniscule and even if he did you can't shut him away it would be ridiculous.

I was going to say the same as @Kingstonmumof1 in that responses on a British site may be along different lines to what you’re thinking. I doubt (beyond clinically vulnerable people) people here would quarantine someone without symptoms, and plenty wouldn’t bother separating someone with symptoms. I certainly wouldn’t.

Thank you for replying. I’m a Brit in aus so have been following news from over there. I don’t know how people were quarantined over there though. I’ve been active on her for around fifteen years well before I moved to aus so it’s often a first port of call for advice.

We have to shut them away if they are quarantined at home. As instructed by the government. @https://www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/wps/wcm/connect/public+content/sa+health+internet/conditions/infectious+diseases/covid-19/about+covid-19/self-isolation+and+quarantine+advice+for+covid-19+%28coronavirus%29

For me it’s about how much the children want to see daddy and all the usual family dramas will be upright outside his door and he can’t help.
