App Ping

Earlier today I was out and the NHS covid app pinged with a notification.

I thought it mentioned isolate - when I clicked on it to open the app there was no notification or anything. Is this a usual problem?

It may have been the general notification of a change of rules.

There were some accidental notifications that vanished when you opened that app, but that was very soon after the app was brought in.

If you were pinged, believe me you would know about it.

I had a "ping" but it was just to say Covid restrictions had changed. Could it have been that?

(I'd have been surprised to have an isolation ping as I turned off contact tracing months ago when neighbours on both sides went down with it.)
