Travel to UK

If you travel to the UK as a tourist do you download the NHS track and trace app?
We are fully vaccinated and coming from the common travel area so no restrictions.
This would be the first week of August

We don't live in England but travelled there to visit Centerparcs. We were advised to download the app as it was a quick way to check in to venues (restaurants etc)

The test & trace app doesn't show your vaccine status, that's the NHS app which you have to have an NHS number for.
