So if DH had his first jab 24th may, a Monday. Does that mean he can have his second jab today or tomorrow? There is a walk in clinic he could go to but I’m not sure if he is only 7+6 today.

It’s doesn’t matter that much just go

JellyTots2009 · 18/07/2021 11:18

One day doesn't make a difference

4PawsGood · 18/07/2021 11:19

When I went they had a hard line actually. But I was three days over it so they were ok.

Three or four. I don’t know though! Grin

I had my 1st on a Saturday and my 2nd 8 weeks later on the Saturday again. My partner had his exactly 8 weeks apart, both on a Friday. Hth

Buttton · 18/07/2021 11:38

Should say they were booked online and couldn't get the day before but could get days after so it was a booking system that allowed it

AddUpToNothing · 18/07/2021 11:41

I’m currently at a walk in and they’re not vaccinating anyone unless they had their last jab on or before 23rd May. They’ve turned a few people away who are 8 weeks tomorrow.

They said it’s not their choice - they’d do it if they could but aren’t allowed.

Uramaki · 18/07/2021 11:42

If he had it on a Monday he has to wait until the Monday.

Uramaki · 18/07/2021 11:44

That's what I got told anyway. But they might have been wrong! Could chance it if the queues not too long?

Whiskycav · 18/07/2021 11:45

Out centre does have a hard line. At ours it would be tomorrow. 8 weeks to the day is the earliest.

BakedBeeeen · 18/07/2021 11:47

Yes I saw people being turned away yesterday who hadn’t had a full 8 weeks from 1st jab. Mine was exactly 8 weeks, jabbed on a Saturday both times.

Oh that’s odd, that’s definitely a day short isn’t it? But if it applies here DH is ok.

Thanks. I think you’re right.

I think he’s going to give it a go. When I went it was really quiet.

Give it a though, I should say.

Ours would do you but they seem to jab anyone who turns up!

yup it's just a bit of a gamble, some centres will not do it even if you're only a day under the 8 week gap

others seem to be merrily jabbing anyone post 21/28 days Grin

I'd only go if it's not a big deal if he gets turned away

YetAnotherWalk · 18/07/2021 15:08

I went on 8 weeks exactly - Saturday to Saturday. They did check and let someone in who was 3 days early, so depends on the site.

4PawsGood · 19/07/2021 11:41

Exciting update, he went and they let him get it. Smile
