Anyone who watches Death in Paradise would surely know that the French regard their 'colonies' as part of France.

The change is economic/travel sanctions against the French because President Macron is seen as the main obstacle to the EU bowing down to changes to the Northern Ireland protocol. The Netherlands has much higher cases for example.

Yes but the French aren’t particularly bothered about not being able to holiday in England. They have the whole of Europe to play in. It only hurts us Brits with family or holiday or business there.

Believe me it very much also hurts us Brits who live in France and would like to come back to the UK to see family.

It is so obvious that some numpty has failed to grasp the fact that France has overseas territories and that they are always included in the figures, but there is no way that anyone is going to admit that.

That’s what I meant by “us Brits” with business there @missmopple (I’m also abroad in another country but France is my route home!)

Apologies for mis-interpreting. As you can imagine, "us Brits" here in France are pretty glum at the moment.

I can imagine @missmopple , where I am beta is about 20% of the cases. It’s madness. As I was vaccinated abroad I can’t go without quarantine anyway, so will be staying in Europe, but I’m still incandescent at the illogical incompetence!! Wishing you luck for the summer too.
