Could really do with someone making a decision for me!

2 and a half days left of school (primary)

Holiday booked in the uk next Saturday.

Cases round here high.

Kids would be gutted to miss the last days at school and I have lots of work to get finished.

Just feels so stressful trying to decide!

Send the kid to school if they'd be gutted to miss it and it makes your life less stressful.

Would they rather miss school or holiday?

I work in a school - we have had parents who are teachers pull their own DC out last week to self isolate before going, away one of our TAs is not sending her DC to secondary school next week, even though she has no holidays planned. We have double vaccinated staff testing positive (and feeling quite rough) two classes with several children having tested positive, and two other classes off with only a few positive cases. This virus is obviously spreading much more easily than before.
The remaining classes were planning to spend as much time as possible outdoors but if this heat continues that won't be possible either.

I actually think the school should not reopen on Monday as there are only a few classes left in, and my phone has been pinging with reports of positive cases all of yesterday, but it's not my call. We're not a particularly high rate area.

I wouldn't be sending my own DC to school next week, and I'm usually the kind of parent that sends them to school come hell or high water.

Thanks I've just spoken to them (nicely) and they've said their priority is school and don't mind rearranging the holiday (which would be our second this year) so I respect that and will send them
