Has my test gone missing?

So 3 of us in the family had PCR tests yesterday morning as my son had a temperature (we were on day 10 of isolation from my daughter testing positive). 2 of those tests came back about 3.30am this morning h (my son positive and my husband negative) but although we did them at the same time I’m still waiting 14 hours after their results came through and about 30 hours since the test). 119 won’t chase for me until it’s been 3 days but I’m convinced it had been lost with the gap between results and I’m going to have to start again after 3 days 😞
Anyone had similar and their result turned up?

Hi OP, Did you go to a centre or was it a home test? When my DS did his PCR at a walk through centre, we didn't hear anything back. Around the 48 hour mark, I rang 119 and they said I had to leave it another day. However, about an hour later I rang 119 again and the second person I spoke to took details and she wanted the bar code my DS has been given. The barcode hadn't actually been registered against my DS's details so we would never have got the results. Once she linked the barcode with his details the result came through within minutes. Other posters have had a similar issue too.

It's worth ringing back and asking them to look into it.

Thanks for responding. It was a test centre that we went to. I have rang 119 and gave my barcode and they said it was registered and they couldn’t do anything else about chasing it until 72 hours have passed.
I just find it really weird if it is registered that the other two came through within 10 mins of each other so long ago and I’m still waiting. I’ve convinced myself I will find out on Sunday that I have to do it all again!

That is strange, I felt sure it would be something simple like that. I agree, it's very odd and frustrating. I suppose there is a chance that it got separated from the other 2 and has somehow got into another pile or gone to another lab where there is more of a backlog. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it comes through shortly and you don't have to redo.

Oh it has eventually just come through - negative so I can stop stressing (for now)!

Glad it's come back. It is a bit of a tense wait. I think they just end up getting jumbled into different batches and then I guess someone had to press the button to send you the result.
