Home Test - how long??

Went to the testing site Weds morning to be met with 2hr queue, after an hour we caved and took some at home kits instead of waiting another hour. Posted Weds afternoon.

Still waiting for result email/text. Is this normal?

My friend got tested yesterday and got the results this morning. I’m getting fed up waiting, I have a very bored toddler wanting ill parents to play - at least if we had confirmation it's not CV we could dispatch him to GPs or nursery!

I posted mine on Tuesday- results back by Wednesday morning- might have been extra quick as am a key worker though?

DH and I are key workers too I think it must be a local thing, my boss just emailed saying turnaround was slow locally. It is tedious waiting!!!

I'm in Dorset and also waiting following home test posted on Wednesday (5.15pm collection, arrived at 20.06 that night) l... currently been waiting 44 hours :(

Ugh sympathies. It is such a pain!

I posted mine Saturday and got my results early hours weds morning. I'm east Midlands.

Dh did his Monday am and after chasing twice got his 5 days later.

There was something in the news saying it was taking 2 days for home tests at the moment.

Thanks everyone. How tedious! DH has now sorted cover for this Sunday (vicar) since we might be waiting a loooong time…

Posted ours yesterday, got the results back this evening. Surprised how quick it was.

Oup, never mind, result has finally come in! (Negative)

55 hrs from test to result, so 🤷‍♀️
