Test and trace but already in quarantine

So both DH and I have had a text this afternoon from test and trace saying we have had contact with a positive case and we need to log on/create and account etc etc. We have actually had 2 texts each and 2 emails
The only problem is that we are already in quarantine and the only place we could have been in contact with someone was on the place last Friday. We have also both had negative day 2 tests and are due to test again on Saturday. We have had daily calls to check we are quarantining and we are
So can we ignore this? We won’t be going anywhere until Tuesday (my mums) when it will be 11 days since we arrived back in The Uk

That will be 11 days since the contact won’t it? So you don’t need to ignore it because you are isolating anyway?

Exactly but they want us to log on and create an account to be told when our quarantine ends. We have had 2 texts and 2 emails each saying if we don’t they will phone us - presumably in addition to the daily call we have had ?

Are you sure that’s not a scam? It sounds very much like one, test and trace would have told you over the phone as they usually phone daily anyway, and the app would tell you in the app. But as your isolating for 10 days anyway you don’t need to no the end date so I’d just ignore it in that case.

Pretty sure it’s not a scam as I have had 3 texts and 3 emails. DH has had the texts but not the emails
I suppose it’s possible though, I had a call this afternoon but DH hasn’t had one today.
We are going to ignore it though, either it’s a scam or just bloody stupid

It’s not a scam but the 2 systems don’t join up so I have had a call today to see if I am still quarantining but also one to tell me to self isolate until Sunday, which is when my quarantine ends anyway.
Apparently I am likely to get 2 calls a day now.
