Pfizer vax - when do side affects start?

So I had Pfizer this morning (jab 1) at 0840. I've felt marginally nauseous all day but frankly that could be stress related at the moment. I was going to walk to a group activity tonight which is three miles both ways but I don't want to suddenly feel like shite on the way there or back or whilst I'm there.

Would you risk it and go, or stay at home?

annddddd, I've just realised it should be "side effects". Is one of the side effects shocking grammar?

With my first I felt spaced out and tired by the evening. I wouldn’t have been able to walk far because I felt quite wobbly. I had my second this morning and have a headache now.

Girlmama3 · 15/07/2021 17:22

I was quite sick the evening of my first and had an awful headache. I’m pregnant though so not sure of that made it worse.

My second I had a headache and now have a rash on my neck 🙄

Can you drive or have transport ready in case you don’t want to walk?

SilverOak · 15/07/2021 17:22

I had zero side effects. I would just go out if I wanted to.

RunningFromInsanity · 15/07/2021 17:22

I had absolutely no side effects at all from my Pfizer, in fact I went to the gym that evening.

Girlmama3 · 15/07/2021 17:23

Ps. I do know loads of people who have only had a sore arm after their Pfizer so the chances are you’ll be fine x

Sheezus · 15/07/2021 17:24

No ill effects at all either. Hopefully you'll be fine.

TuckMyWin · 15/07/2021 17:24

I had mine at 11.30 yesterday morning. At midnight when I went to bed I felt fine. At someone overnight I started feeling dreadful and by 6am felt like I’d been run over by a truck. That’s jab 2 though. Jab 1, I just woke up feeling knackered.

TuckMyWin · 15/07/2021 17:25

At some point, not someone!

Poochnewbie1 · 15/07/2021 17:25

No side effects at all for me.

whatswithtodaytoday · 15/07/2021 17:32

I had my first mid-afternoon and had a headache by evening - I felt really tired and wouldn't have wanted to do a long walk, but it came on gradually. Sore arm for 48 hours afterwards which started almost immediately.

I had my second this morning and so far feel fine, a bit body achey but nothing much.

Usual2usual · 15/07/2021 17:56

Just a sore arm here I would go for it.

onceivepostedidontcomeback · 15/07/2021 17:57

My sisters started a full 7 days after her vaccine.

Full body rash for my sister. Please report yellow card I think it's called.
Seriouslymole · 16/07/2021 06:43

So I went and felt fine - thanks all.

I have woken up this morning feeling fine - nearly 24 hours later - maybe I've escaped?

@Seriouslymole That's great 😀 I'm glad you were OK x

whatswithtodaytoday · 16/07/2021 14:07

Hooray!

I suddenly felt like I'd been dipped in ice late last night, about 12 hours after I had the jab. Paracetamol sorted it though, and I'm fine this morning. Arm is much less sore than with the first jab.
