Walk in PCR test - how long wait for results?

Hiya, how long are results taking lately? It's been a good few months since I last had to test. Thanks

Recently did one about 3pm, got text 9am next morning.

Test 10.00 Sunday morning, result very early Monday morning (like just after Sunday midnight).

Walk in PCR 11:30am Sunday and results back 8am Monday

Test taken: 10am
Results emailed: 5am the following day.

Ours was about 24 hrs, I was very impressed!

1pm test, results by email at 11pm same day, text came through next morning at 8am.

Less than 24 hours

I did same day with assured screening
Wasn’t cheap though

We had quite a few tests between us the last fortnight and had the results back in 12-18 hours.

Went to walk through for 9.30am on Monday and results 3am into Tuesday, so about 18 hours. We are central London.

Thanks everyone. Went this morning at about 11 so hopefully will hear something tomorrow.

We did ours yesterday morning and still not heard. It was very busy at the test centre.

One took less than 24hours, the other is 'lost'!

Rung four times and am waiting for yet another call back, test was taken 4 days ago by the time we have the result isolation will be over

They're taking longer at the moment as so busy.

Just got results - one positive and one negative.

Did one on Sunday 11am and results came back Monday at about 1pm. I was told to expect results in 2-3 days though, which was the longest I've ever been told. I expect they are very busy but with reduced capacity.

Previously I have always done mine in the morning and they have come back early hours the next day. Yesterday took one about 7.30pm. has anyone else done one later in the day and.if so when did your results come through?

We have quite a lot of things planned for the next couple of days and dh gets very stressed waiting for results. He thinks I am overcautious with testing (I probably am). These tests were because of 2 lateral flows that turned positive, but after the time limit.

I do think I am quicker than most to book a test and probably over react, but I can't deal with anxiety if I have any doubts. Would hate to pass anything on.
