Test and Trace question

I have googled and just can't find an answer about how Test and Trace get in touch. DD 10 has just got positive PCR. Email says to enter a code in the NHS app. But she is 10 and does not have a phone. I have the app but that will trace my movements, not hers. Will Test and Trace be in touch via another route or is the app it? Am I supposed to contact them?

They should contact you directly on whatever details you have given. The app is a separate entity.

Test and trace may or may not actually get in touch and then may or may not get in touch with any contacts you tell them about. Make sure to tell anyone she's been in contact with. I hope she and the rest of your family will be ok.
