Question about close contact

I went for an appointment at my beauticians I wasn't sitting beside anyone else and only close to the beautician treating me for the 5 minutes I was in. A few hours later I received a missed call from the salon, no voicemail left. They're not open now but my husband said to me I wonder were you in close contact with a positive case and now they're calling you. I'm just wondering would that even be possible? Il ring them back tomorrow but I'm a bit anxious as we've plans for the weekend. Thanks

No one would know yet if they were positive today, unless they came to the salon while waiting for a result to come back? I'm sure the salon would have left a message if it was that anyway.

Thank you that's what the rational part of my brain is saying 😂 I know from experience having had my children tested it takes at least 12 hours to come back.

Someone could have done a LFT after being in the salon maybe? Altho am not sure if they’d have to notify people before getting PCR confirmation.

You'd hope that the beautician wouldn't be going into work with symptoms/ knowing they're positive but you never know. Hopefully it will be something else!
