I should know this by now but confused.
DD self isolating since last Thursday. One of her friends was positive then. Her friends little brother then tested positive yesterday. Does her friend really have to start to count her 10 days again even though she was index case? It’s such a shame as it means she misses end of school.

So the friend is positive and within her 10 day isolation her brother has tested positive? If so, she ends her isolation after 10 days and he continues with a new 10 day isolation from his symptoms /positive test if no symptoms
