When does DD's isolation end?

Husband and I both have Covid.

Husband’s symptoms started on 7th July, his isolation ends 17th July

I got my positive on 11th July, my isolation ends 21st July.

We have one 5 year old daughter, we aren’t testing her as she’s showing no symptoms, if she doesn’t show any symptoms does her isolation end on the 17th or 21st July?

I think 21st, husband thinks 17th. I have had people tell me that when they were in this situation test and trace said you don't have to restart your isolation if another person in the house tests positive, so her isolation will end on the 17th. We haven't been contacted by test and trace yet. I can't see a clear answer on NHS or GOV website Confused

It's definitely the 17th.

Only she will have to restart isolation if she gets sick.

17th unless she gets symptoms or tests positive. Lots of threads on this already.

Mindymomo · 14/07/2021 18:59

Strangely it’s the 17th that she stops isolating unless she shows symptoms.

YukoandHiro · 14/07/2021 19:02

It's the 17th as long as she doesn't develop symptoms herself.

Not the point of the post, but how are you and your DH feeling? Are you both jabbed?

Iknowtheanswer · 14/07/2021 19:03

We're in the same position. Dcs don't have symptoms.

They'll release a day before me - in your case, the 17th.

DH and I are double jabbed.

Yes we're both double jabbed. He's got a bad cough and fatigue. I've got a slight cough, headache and aches. We're both exhausted but doesn't help that DD is on the go all the time and we just want to rest!

Worth checking DD. I know loads of kids who have tested positive with zero symptons

coffeepleeease · 14/07/2021 19:13

Thanks everyone 17th it is. Makes no sense to me, very odd!
